ISLINGTON FOOD PARTNERSHIP
Building a thriving local food system for Islington
Outcomes from Fed & Supported
Fed & Supported, which stemmed from a wider partnership of several VCSE organisations in Islington, originally aimed to reduce the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on our borough’s most vulnerable residents, particularly by building cohesion and capacity across provider networks. Initial outcomes have just been released.
New Report, Feeding Britain
This week, Feeding Britain published their latest survey report Feeding Community: The Role of Affordable Food Clubs in Building Resilient Communities. The findings reveal that, whilst Affordable Food Clubs are essential in helping households access affordable, nutritious food, they are also vital community spaces of connection, wraparound support, and resilience.
St Mary’s Hornsey Rise
Our new Featured Member series looks to highlight the brilliant work across Islington’s food system. This month we spoke with St Mary’s Hornsey Rise about the ins & outs of their Cook Together sessions, which are open to all community members to have fun, learn culinary skills and share time in the kitchen.
